Nebraska Knit and Crochet Guild has partnered with Program For Women and Successful Aging, a community service project of University of Nebraska at Omaha.
Rachel M has mentored a knitting and crocheting group at Underwood Towers, an Omaha Housing Authority assisted living facility for limited or low income elderly residents. She has volunteered her time and extensive talents to interested residents. She met with them twice a month on Monday mornings though August. We have provided yarn from our charity stash and knit or crochet tools for their chosen craft. Hats off to Rachel!!!
We have adopted the Western Hills Elementary School kids knitting group and hope for a long partnership. We have opened our charity yarn stash to them.
These are charitable organizations guild members have participated in.
